I did not like the city my aunts lives in one bit. The snowy ass weather during my visit didn't make things any better either. I was only there for two weeks so I can't really judge and say much, but my impression of Sweden drastically changed after my visit.

I respect your opinion and I can understand the idea of us being slightly nonchalant and that it may be off-putting to others (but let it be known that it doesn't come from malice)

Yeah I think it depends on where you go (as with all countries). For example, the denizens of the wealthier places in Stockholm (e.g. Östermalm) tend to be colder, but it's never good to generalize so

Stockholm most definitely! Although both cities are nice, as a "Stockholmare" I'm going to be biased and say Stockholm just because I think downtown Stockholm (e.g. Gamla Stan, literally translating to Old Town) is spectacular with a crapload of history and culture!

Have you thought about moving to Gothenburg?

The company I want to work at only has offices in Stockholm and Malmö so those are my only options. I tend to dislike really big cities so I was leaning towards Malmö, but I haven't actually been to either yet so it's hard to decide beforehand.

Hmmm - if you dislike big cities then I'd go for Malmö; as far as I know, Malmö tends to be "townier" if that makes sense and not as "corporal" as Stockholm?

It's also close to Denmark if that's appealing at all

I've applied for graduate schools in Sweden and got admitted to some. However, my family is totally not supportive about me going to Sweden..... so sad..... I really really want to be there.

Honestly I just want that job, so if I have to move to Sweden for it then I don't mind. I've loved this company for years, and now that they've struck gold by creating Candy Crush Saga, I want to join them on their quest to dominate the casual gaming industry.

They have offices in other European countries as well but Sweden is my favorite.
