I tend to get REALLY into a handful of songs at a time and then only listen to them exclusively for a while. I usually keep a playlist of maybe 100 songs that I put on shuffle at any one time.
This is the general life cycle of a song for me.
Obsession -> Favorites Playlist -> Played Less and Less -> Banishment Forever
I do the same with most things. Just the way my personality works. I combat it by removing them before I burn out. I have retired most of 1D and Kelly's music currently.
