"Womanizer" iconic?

What is iconic about "Womanizer"?, I mean yeah it was meaningful and important in Britney's career because it was her comeback but its not really iconic, IMO anything that happened on "Circus" and "Femme Fatale" is iconic.

"Womanizer" was a weird case because it was the kind of song that looked like a new potential Britney classic and iconic song, I remember artists covering the song, etc. but after some years it really became like 0 classic potential and it doesn't seem iconic now . . . . . . . . . . easily her last iconic song and album were "Gimme More" and "Blackout".


I also find the "Womanizer" music video overrated by fans, I think outside of Britney's fans no one really cares about "Womanizer" or gives that much importance to that music video.

I agree in terms of quality but I feel like it's forgotten among the general public.

Womanizer is iconic. It's her comeback song and let's not forget it is her biggest selling song digitally (solo wise, idk if S&S passed it yet).

It's Britney B**** is iconic, in ever single way. Just the other day at work these three girls were saying it. But in saying that Gimme More is not iconic. Piece Of Me is more iconic than Gimme More.

anyways. . . Yeah actually "Womanizer" is Britney's 3rd most successful single of her career (sales-wise), but that doesn't mean sh*t , "I'm a slave 4 U" is far from being one of her 10 most successful songs and its more iconic than the 90% of her singles.....

The line is on the song , so how the line doesn't make that song iconic? even Madonna used "Gimme More" for her tour.

and I've seen a lot of non-stans praising "Gimme More" its actually considered one of her best singles by majority , while "Womanizer" is constantly dragged by non-stans.

No. Mathematically, common-sensically and obviously, Gimme More was her comeback. Whether you liked it or not, whether you thought it underperformed too much to be her comeback or not, it is her comeback.

I really don't see anything iconic in "Womanizer" , I mean the song itself its more than forgotten now by General public, currently the song its not that respected either, majority considers it one of her worst lead singles, and it has 0 memorable performances.

the closest thing to iconic was its music video, and it still doesn't seem iconic to me, its just a well remembered video, which is something different of being "ICONIC".

It actually really shocks me and surprises me the huge amount of fans calling "W" iconic.

Yep, it was her commercial comeback, in the industry people call comebacks to those prominent / notable returns to charts.

"Circus" was actually an Album / singles / airplay / tour comeback for her , it was a comeback in every single aspect.

in the musically sense Gimme More was her comeback.

Image wise, media wise, general public wise, radio, and charts, Womanizer was the true comeback single.

Gimme More was released in 2007 during much of her still breakdown period, many people in the general public associate gimme more and it's vma performance as a part of her breakdown year
