which do you guys prefer: english dub or japan dub (both with english sub) on a jrpg?
i want to get valkyrie profile 2 but there's only the japan dub available
i never play a japan dubbed games before, and valkyrie profile 1 english voice act is sooo good

The original voices of course (except maybe during long and epic incantations like in the Tales Of serie).
Personally I would say Star Ocean Last Hope b/c it has many gameplay hours and a really, really solid fighting system. I really enjoyed it.
But, compared to Disgaea, where the leveling cap is 9999, I'd say it's a good chance D4 has more gameplay hours, but they both have many hours to give. Just depends on how much you're willing to spend.
Am grinding forever on FE:A. I want my kids to have the best possible skills inherited; it kinda breaks the main playthrough, but I'm a hopeless min/maxer and want my kids to be amazing. Basically paused on Chapter 17 until I finish getting most of my units to level 15 of a promoted unit. Then I do a billion paralogues to recruit my kids.
despite being praised as the greatest jrpg by almost everyone, i never found FF7 all that interesting or great. I like some of the characters but...meh
Anyone's picking up 'Tales of Xillia' next week? I wasn't planning to, because (imo) the tales of series kind of drags, but I heard this is not that long so I think I'll get it

I am soooooo excited I can't deal.
I'm trying to hurry up and finish Star Ocean so I can just focus on Xillia but I'm stuck and lacking motivation to try and get past the part I'm at.

This channel has remastered a bunch of JRPG music.
This game slays! so much replay value too! Except I found Rue's game play mechanics not as engaging because even in the endgame you were stuck with whatever monsters were around as opposed to Mint arsenal of magics.

Its a good game, but imo its not worth getting over Persona 4 golden or TLOU at all.

Yeah I actually really love Yuffie. One of the best characters in the FF series tbh.
