I still don't where this whole leak thing is coming from? Gaga obviously leaked that video and the V pics for hype. She is the hacker. I'm telling you, we're probably getting the single title and cover tomorrow.
"Born This Way" was never sent back and forth digitally. They transferred the song back and forth, for listening, editing, etc., physically so that nothing could get intercepted or copied digitally to allow a leak. The first time it found it's way on an internet-enabled computer was so it could be uploaded to iTunes. That's how it didn't leak.
The album, however, leaked around the time I knew it would; those few days around the time it leaked were when the album was going through mass production and many copies were being made. It would be easy for someone to just take a CD, rip it at home, and upload it, which is what happened. Those old "It's digitally encoded so it won't play until the release date" rumors were just nonsense.
I really hope the single doesn't leak, at least not now. The competition is so fierce WW with Blurred Lines and Wake Me Up dominating most of the major markets and now One Direction's just released as well.
They could release it today - it is a Monday after all - but hype would be a bit smaller and the BL competition would be stronger. I sort of hope they don't rush it, even though I'm desperate for material.
