Could be, but I think the hint is more related to Dancing On My Own's producer, Patrik Berger, if it's connected in that way. He's produced tracks like You're The One by Charli XCX, Off to the Races by Lana Del Rey, and, most notably, I Love It by Icona Pop.
Hopefully the single is far less electropop than DOMO.

that's the reply I just got back from the insider. He's definitely not leaking anything...however, the general talk in that forum was that Katy's single is coming before Gaga's, which is scheduled for August 19th

Radio is ready for Katy's big return and next single. Because today within 30 mins of being in the car to go home I heard Wide Awake, Last Friday Night and The One That Got Away on two different radio stations.
Same here! She may not have a song out, but radio is playing her so much as if she did!
