Me too. I thought this would do close to Fantasy Ride numbers since the era almost went the same way (two dropped singles, rejuvenated new single presented as the first single).
Honestly, what would 10k - 20k more have done realistically? It wouldn't have gotten her a #1 debut.

She's getting there but next era needs to be in tip top shape.
She needs to take her time, put out the right first single and stick with it and there needs to be an album of hers that doesn't leak a month before the release I'm sure that's why it was severely undershipped, the team knew they ****ed that one up.
But back to this one... hopefully they continue to push it and not vanish after this week.
She just needs to release the obvious hits. She is already just VERY stupid for not releasing Overdose and I'm Out at the same time. Then she could win a lil pop audience and her core audience. Hopefully she releases Overdose very soon and performs it at the VMAs.
We all know that the next era is already in the making. This was just a set up for making her relevant again. As long as the singles smash she'll do great. Hope album 6 comes before next summer
People are forgetting 57,000 means she sold 20,000 MORE than she did last album. That's about a 40% increase in 1st week sales. Who else does that nowadays? Especially in R&B? No one. It's not the most amazing number, but she's won back 20,000 loyal fans. That's saying A LOT. Plus, she has a song that almost top 20 on the Hot 100, and another right on its heels.
Pop audiences are used to "Crunk" Ciara pop songs (i.e. Like A Boy, Oh, Goodies). So the label should continue pushing "I'm Out" until after the VMAs (hopefully she gets to perform there).
In September, they should release "Livin It Up" to pop and rhythmic radio, and "DUI" to urban only. Ci should tour in September/October, and do radio promo while on tour to push the songs. THEN if there's any budget left, "Where You Go" should close the album. If Future has a hit (which he will by then) that crosses over, that would be the perfect segue into "Where Yo Go." I doubt she'll have a 5th official single tho...
I think Livin' It Up should've been single instead of I'm Out That song has a great crossover potential

Overdose is a good choice for a third single. Releasing OD AND IO at the same time is absolute overkill. :bibilio:
