Elliots Stars Dance ALBUM Review
Birthday - it starts so instant and its great for an opener. i didnt really like it but i kinda LIVE for claps in song and this has no shortage of clapping
the moaning/jazz it up bit is so infectious not really single material or have the best lyrics but a good song 8/10
Slow Down - i LOVE her voice in the first verse oits so sultry and the lyrics are kinda genius cos Come & Get It 'caught peoples attention' and yeah
i like the chorus but i wish i built up more and was a little bit more explosive like in the break in the middle. 8/10
Stars Dance - the intro is so cute i like that little sound, one thing tho is i feel like its way too dark to go with the rest of the album
i also wish the chorus was more out there it feels really bland, tho it is a obvious stand out track and the lyrics are cute too
rock mafia really brought their **** with this song its so different i also get a little lana influence in some bits 7/10
Like a Champion - erm okay this song left abit of a bitter taste in my mouth the verse are cute and i use but the chorus seems forced like shes trying too hard
and i cant at people saying about the rihanna just because shes from barbados this doesnt sound like anythign rihannas release
i mean the obvious 'rum pum pum' bit can be interpreted as the Man Down but still also the 'shine bright like a diamond' lyric i see you selena 6/10
Come & Get It - not a big fan of this song i mean its an okay song to mean i like the chorus but with the indian drums idk it seems weird but overall a nice little bop
i can see why it as release as the lead single as its another stand out track -8/10
Forget Forever - okay i freaking love this song so much the beat drop/break just gives me all types of LIFE and the added bridge with the soft vocals I LIVE
this should ave been the first songle/second single it slays so hard like i simply cant 10/10
Save The Day - this is another that left a bitter taste in my mouth. it seems to be a big fan favourite but i feel like been there done that
i kinda like the d-d-d-d-day bit cos i live for distorted vocals i hope its not a single 7/10
B.E.A.T. - this song is seriously just a rip off of Bass Down Low i mean she even sounds like DEV and although it might just be homeage to one of her fave singers
it seems trashy and messy the lyrics are a mess. and the chorus is abit of a mess. the verses are OKAy but the lyrics are

Write Your Name - this is such a cute song i like it alot i mean its very like slow sorta thing but i like that her vocals are really nice and soft
the lyrics are really relateable and the production is kinda life espically in the chorus. and even tho it doesnt have one of the best choruses
i like the simplistity of it i also like the little rap bit

Undercover - the demo i had for this litterally the production is 100% better i hated this song but the album version kinda slays i mean that break
the lyrics are alright im sensing like some sort of mistress/homewrecker tea i mean miss gomez
overal its a really good song could see it as a single 8/10
Love Will Remember - my biggest disapointment i wouldve LOVED if this was a full on straight piano ballad and i wish she had polished up the lyrics
the production is a little blah and her voice during the chorus is again blah before i rip into ha lemme just rank this 6/10
Nobody Does It Like You - first thing again was the lana influences even down to the lyrics and her voice i also hear abit of As Long As You Love Me in part of the chorus
i like the dubsteppy sound of the song abit of a bop
but the auto-tune is a little too much 7/10
Jesus Feels Better - okay well this should have been the lead single, the album should have been named after this song
HOW this was demoted to a bonus track yet S.H.I.T. and Like a Trashcan got on the standard i swear ill never forgive selena for this and Sad Serenade

OVERALL:
Solid pop/dance album tho i wish she had made abit more cohensive and not just recorded a bunch of dance songs and hoped for the best also
i feel like selena needs to find her own sound cos i hear way too many influences in her song and as this is her 'debut' as a solo artist
i feel it shouldve showed her being her like with her own sound and the only song i feel selena has owned herself is Off the Chain
but its a good album with alot of potential singles overal score 8/10
