I think some of you need to be realistic here. She's not coming from a massive era like TFM, I think the debut won't be that big, but the era might be able to be bigger than BTW in the long run. Just sayin'!
I hope her album sales aren't mucked up. How did Born This Way work out in the US being released on a Monday? Doesn't she only have one day of sales before entering the charts?
She sold 1M first week in the US, I don't think it was that bad.
You know, the VMA performance is a brilliant way to boost second week sales. She might break the two-week total record, and she definitely will if she manages to break the first-week record.

Don't want you bitches complaining because you fell for the hype and had massive expectations a la BTW. I have high expectations, but lets be real... that was the reason so many people felt disappointed when BTW was released. Their expectations were just too high.
Breaking the one week record is realistic. BTW would have sold well over 800k if it had a full week, and this single could approach that mark or even exceed it if it's good, give the hype that is likely to build and the more positive attitude the GP could display since she's not up their asses lately.

I personally dont think TFM was that huge. She can top that if she does it right
I was generalising, and I said bigger than BTW. And yeah it hasn't happened yet, so we don't know. But I want to mentally prepare all of you in case we have a different scenario than expected. The meltdowns could be so big that they might have to close the thread and send some monsters to psychological consultation!

that's why i've been trying my best to stay away from any kind of leaks or whatnot, anything that came directly off the album, instead just examples and inspirations to have a sense of what'll be on there. i don't want to set myself up for something completely different like what happened with BTW. i was expecting something else when the album came out.
