I feel like Vogue was a mishandled opportunity tbh. While it was successful in keeping her in the spotlight for her upcoming release and for teasing her new music, I feel like making a release announcement and being the cover girl during the single release would've benefited her so much better.

They probably thought May was waaaay too early for an announcement of an August release, and they couldn't convince Vogue to push it back a month or two but didn't want to turn them down all together. :-/
