& it wasn't the goal. Beyonce went against what was on radio at the time. Hell, if it was the goal she wouldn't have put RTW has the first single.

The album no, it was a big 70% drop in sales from I Am Sasha Fierce but it still sold decently. The era as a whole though was a flop because it greatly lessened her status among the pop divas and it produced NO hit singles. For a big star like Beyonce who did massive promo around the world that is disastrous, and it's apparent in how reluctant her label is to start the new era, afraid they won't have any hits again. Hit singles are the bread and butter of any pop star and an absolutely necessary component, having none means the era as a whole did not work.

I think we forget that part. She's truly in control of her music.
Sony/Columbia haven't had any input on her albums since the creation of B'day.
She's in control of when or when not to release.
Lets not forget this bullheaded heaux released CIL when the label wanted Naughty Girl.
Or how they wanted EOT as the lead and she was still stubborn and went with the flop of the century.

Dance For You was never released urban radio just started playing it.
1+1 never was a single, it was a gift when you Pre-ordered the album on iTunes.
End of time was never single, she just performed it, it's a fan fav.
I Was Here was never a single. (just because Beyonce performed it doesn't = single.
None of these had an official release.
