There is no need for WET or white power because white people are the majority, more powerful etc. Why point out the obvious. White people didn't go through oppression so whats the point. You were always more powerful, so why do you need empowerment? Yes you may get called crAcker, but please, that's no where near the oppression some minorities went through.
Most racism online doesnt annoy me. Most of it isn't serious and wouldn't be said in real life, but none the less effects people so why say it? Are you that much of a ***** you have to say something behind a computer screen.
And lately, white people are the ones throwing hissy fits over the smallest and stupidest things like..."why is balckpower allowed and not white power?" "why cant we have WET?" etc. And btw i aint even black.

In today's time, stuff like that doesn't happen (as often). If my job tried to get me fired because of my skin color - guess what? I quit and look for another job. But I'm not saying that's what your mom should have done, considering the period. I'm talking about now.

If our elders had this sort of attitude towards discrimination, we'd still be using separate bathrooms and such. I think certain situations call for a different type of reaction, but that passive aggressive ******** never got anyone anywhere.
And between your posts in here and in the Paula Deen threads, you give a slight 'yassa massa boss" tea. Am just saying.

Don't bother. Apparently hurting a white person's feelings is paramount to years of segregation, oppression, and colonization.

A lot of white people will never think of racism seriously, just like straight men and sexist jokes. Just ignorant.

Just going with the wind - putting up with the racism doesn't do much, either. There's more you can do besides tolerating it. But as you said, different situations call for different reactions.
It's ok. My mother and sister say the same thing .

No, it's because you feel dignified or something every time you say "it's just words" or every time you defend a white person in a race debate. I don't have an issue with you being nonchalant, but it's you always on the defending end and it sounds stupid.
"If a white person treats me badly on a job, I would just quit and find another job." I mean, really? As if it's so easy. Get a clue.

The fact that you think everyone with a different opinion is white says it all
the hypocrisy in this thread is suffocating

Say it's easy to avoid where you are. But that's not the case for everyone.
For some people it's not a special circumstance, it's everyday life.

Right. There's no double standards in racism. "Oh my great-great-great grandmother was a slave so that must mean I'm allowed to be racist towards white folks - absolutely harmless since I'm black." Like what? as if every white is racist.

Not wrong, an opinion. It isn't right for people to use past oppression as an excuse for acts such as anti-white racism or to make it seem like it shouldn't be a big deal. All racism should be equally a big deal, it doesn't matter who it's towards.

You can have Italian pride. You can have Irish pride. You have French pride. etc., but NOT White pride.

I disagree.
I draw a sense of unity with other men by being male -- celebrating masculinity is, indeed, empowering to me, though I've never been seriously disadvantaged by being male. It's a shared experience. Pride does not need to be reactionary. American pride does not exist because Americans are persecuted worldwide (quite the opposite), it exists because it provides a sense of community and identity for Americans. Isn't that really the main goal of pride? American pride is not equivalent to a hatred of all things non-American.
People should never be told to not value or give meaning to a part of their identity -- pride in its many forms is good and worthwhile as long as it isn't rooted in putting down others or used to justify claims of superiority. You have to understand how variable everything is and how much people's life experiences differ before you make such sweeping assumptions/rules.

The "period" that stuff happened to my mother was within the last 5 years....sis...just stop...it's not "easy to ignore"...jesus. Whatever. You've already made up your mind.

Then I give her the same advice as I said in the last post to you .

So it's an issue if I defend a white person. Or if I'm not offended by racial slurs. And it's stupid when you don't agree with it/not the typical response you'd expect from a black person.
Cry more
