She'd be too similar to MegaMan's abilities to switch powers. Besides that, she brings nothing new or innovative or exciting to the table.
They could replace Eevee with the Pokemon trainer, and have it be a rotational switch between the evolution's. Although, playing nine characters in one seems kind of challenging and too much.

Erm birdo is symbolic and is ORIGINAL. Aint no other character even SIMILAR to Birdo. Sad to say Daisy is a Peach Clone Clown.

i'm glad someone spilt the tea...At most Daisy and/or Birdo will be an assist trophy/collectable trophy, which is more than good enough. However in the same respect, the user who said Birdo is a female Yoshi and nothing more shows that majority of gamers may not have an extensive knowledge of her history, which may translate into her not being "popular"/"relevant" enough to have any sort of prominence in the new smash
