Jennifer, Duca and someone - I think it was Rico - else were all bragging about how S&S would hang around the Top 50 for a long time and was going to become Britney's first 4 million seller in the US by mid-2013 - not to mention the "8 million worldwide". Well, here we are, the song barely passed the 3.1 million mark and is nowhere to be seen in the Top 100 (is it even Top 200?).
But hey, let them be. I'm sure it will get to 4 million... "Eventually", right?

All I said was that it would end up being a huge global hit for the early part of 2013, which it did. I don't know what Jennifer or Duca said (too bad search is off), but whether either of us exaggerated at one point or not, it still did 800x better than all of you were laughing about (from it not blasting to No. 1 in the first day to when it did get there changing your stories to it will fall out of the top ten in 1 week after the video, etc. etc.). Basically every turn y'all found some new and negative to hope it would have a downfall and it ended up being successful all the way to the end.
And it would definitely have been higher in sales by now, HOWEVER they decided to delete the album version after #willpower came out, sending it all the way off - when that '& BRITNEY SPEARS' exposure was the only reason it remained in the Top 20/25 after leaving top ten - so it never fully recovered.
It might not be 4/8 million.. but 3.1/6 million and a huge hit in general is way more than the "won't make top 10 radio, it might go platinum, WW won't use this" mess the rest of y'all were giving.
And I'm happy for our girl.
