I'm actually surprised how surprisingly well the fans are handling Ooh La La. Most seem to understand it's just a soundtrack single and don't care so much about its performance.

I mean its fine.
Actually I realized that since 2007 she just had 3 flop singles (Break the ice, Radar and Criminal) out of 15 singles released.
thats ok, I think its normal. there will be certain times when she will have a flop single, she can't succeed every single time, and we have to deal with it.
Ok, first "her fans" wanted it to flop, but then if it doesn't perform as good on itunes they're the ones freaking out.
then, they complain about its single treatment, but if the radio deal ended they freak out
What kind of weird people . . the ones that wanted it to flop are the only ones complaining.
-----
anyways, the song is doing moderate so far:
1) Its a soundtrack from kids that are not normaly taken seriously , C'mon look at the cover of the single
2) There wasn't a "HUGE EPIC RADIO DEAL" like some trolls made it seem, it just had FOR 1 day an arrangement on Z100, and period, thats all. Obviously the song won't have a full radio deal because its just a soundtrack.
3 There are at least 9 songs from The Voice charting as usual , after 3-4 days those songs decline like rock.
4) The Music video is coming later.
Seriously just chill, and relax guys ..
PS: OMG "Ooh la la" could be Britney's 26th top 10 hit on Sweden , what kind of swedish chart legend
Dinorel has been spilling the True Popurri lately!
----Sad to see break the ice as a flop.
Its pop/electro perfection but unfortunatley it was cursed by the entire blackout era.
Who cares how soundtracks do, Almost home didnt even go top 50 on itunes and beautiful got to no.4 on itunes when it was released. It's no indication of how the lead single will do
True.
I do believe 'Almost Home' being a big hit could have hurt '#Beautiful', though, so, as I've said before: I really don't care/want OLL to be "huge" - I just would very much like it it somehow managed to get a Top 10 peak on the Hot 100.

I mean, I'd love to see it do really well, but if it flops it's no big deal to me.
S&S sold way more than 6 million.....if you're referring to USA only, I said it would get to 4 million eventually. & it will.
Mess. I remember what you said.

Well the more I realize it, the more I've come to think many people wouldn't buy this song anyway. It's just too childish doesn't fit the demographic on the stations that play this song. It sounds like it should be played on Radio Disney rather than Z100. But oh well. She did this for her boys and it;s for a movie soundtrack so whatever happens, happens.
They just better do the same for her 1st single off her 8th album.
True. I just bought it because Im a fan. I don't even like the song like at all.

She already did. Rihanna took her swag.

Her lead single will obviously smash.
I've said I don't care about this when it leaked. I bought it and that's it. I'm looking forward to seeing the reactions of members who predicted a 200-300k opening.
Touche. I remember putting the 250k prediction out there.

My prerogative is a song that I didn't like at first but I love and appreciate it. The sound is ahead of what happened four years later.
Even the breakdown sounds dubstep ish too

Blackout: Piece Of Me, Gimme More, Why Should I Be Sad >
I just have been nit-picking songs from every album excluding In The Zone, I need to get around to listening to her whole albums to get to that stan status.
Stan for Showdown.

All songs are worthy of standard edition. Big fat waste and criminal should have been on the deluxe.

Top 40 entry. Another to add. Should get 4 more during her 8th album era.

I mean...isn't it obvious. Most of her songs are limited to pop. I do see her trying to change that with her new record but she is one of the few PURE pop artist out there. the other girls need multi format play and still have to catch up on total album sales.

I think they will. Most rhythmic stations play cross over urban pop stuff. People sometimes confuse rhythmic with r&b which it's not.

How do we get this done? I like attention seeking ways because I laugh at hopefuls but it has to be tastefully done.
Jennifer, Duca and someone - I think it was Rico - else were all bragging about how S&S would hang around the Top 50 for a long time and was going to become Britney's first 4 million seller in the US by mid-2013 - not to mention the "8 million worldwide". Well, here we are, the song barely passed the 3.1 million mark and is nowhere to be seen in the Top 100 (is it even Top 200?).
But hey, let them be. I'm sure it will get to 4 million... "Eventually", right?
