One of the Pikachu mini movies if I'm not mistaken, but that entire age situation is a mess, just like the fact that Pikachu's strength equals a starter Pokemon in each new region when they arrive there
I think this is the single most bothersome thing about the anime.
Like, Pikachu should be amazing by now. He should only ever lose in gym battles or higher tier competitions. Ash would of course use his newer Pokémon for rival battles.

At this point I'd rather they abandon Ash and Pikachu and start following a new trainer through several regions that are linked, so it's more plausible.. that way they can go into the future, introduce some new inventions and have that new trainer meet an older Ash and we can see what happened to him

I always liked Stantler, Dunsparce, Sableye and Mawile. I just rarely use them just because stat-wise they're too underwhelming. If this is true, their evos will slay.
