It's basically Florence + a bunch of extra band members that are always in rotation, even on the albums, so considering they're not 'set' as members of the band, I wasn't sure if they would count.

Are they present for accepting awards, in music videos, take place in writing songs? I don't really consider those two bands, more the named picked out.

Florence I can see how some would consider it a band, I however never thought of categorizing her as in a band though.

They are bands. You should consider them. If they wanted a solo career they would've gone the Selena Gomez route removing The Scene and just Marina Diamandis or Florence Welch.

Marina and the diamonds doesn't count as a band... even Wikipedia (I know, what a poor source ) doesn't categorized them as a band.

Marina Lambrini Diamandis (born 10 October 1985), better known by her stage name Marina and the Diamonds, is a Welsh singer-songwriter and musician.[1][2] She rose to fame after reaching number two on the BBC Sound of 2010 poll list, coming second to Ellie Goulding. Selena is a "soloist" now (always was tbh ), so "Selena Gomez & The Scene" do not count as band.

Florence + The Machine will count as a band, since Florence's work as a solo artist is under the name of "Florence Welch".
