I doubt it. It's all about politics. Absents of nominated pop stars will result to a lower rating. Why nominate Kelly if she never comes to the show? Did you forget her attitude towards the VMA? I'm almost positve Kelly isn't going to win a VMA award anymore, besides the fact of her video sucking since Never Again. Stronger was huge and was ONLY recognized by the Grammy. That should give you a indication.

Hell, she probably doesn't stick around before or after her performances. I mean, pop award shows are clearly just too full of themselves (including the attendees).

First of all. I don't give a **** if Kelly wins a VMA ever again. Only ATRL cares about who wins VMA awards. The GP watches for the publicity stunts which thankfully Kelly never is a part of. Second of all, if they bothered to nominate Dark Side for anything, I'm pretty sure they don't give a **** about whatever her "attitude" was. And if anyone is going to recognize her for anything, I'm glad it's the Grammy's since they're really the only relevant musical award show.

Lolz. Kelly doesn't get an audience for the VMA's because she doesn't pull stunts. The BMA's did absolutely nothing for her or Dark Side - it all depends on timing. Again, the only relevant awards show is the Grammy's and that's the only one I care if she performs on. Kelly would get upstaged at the VMA's and we all know that. That show isn't about talented vocalists.

That's false in so many ways. Why do Alicia Keys, Adele, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and a lot of other vocalist do receive/received exposure during award shows? Kelly isn't overshadowed because she doesn't pull gimmicks, it is because her performance presence is rather weak, boring and for the majority a snooze fest. The AMA performance of the medley was her best in years! And she got exposure and recognition. Kelly needs to work on her performance, and put more effort if she doesn't want to get overshadowed.

Sadly I think her acceptance speech overshadowed her unforgettable performance of Tennessee Waltz/Natural Woman. The only person I can remember giving praise is... Clive Davis...

Alicia Keys hasn't been widely praised for a performance on an award show in like a decade. Adele had a monstrous year so of course the attention was on her at the Grammy's. Mariah got criticized for lip synching on Idol, I haven't seen her praised at an awards show in forever and a day, and Whitney, well.. she was flawless at her peak but hasn't been praised at an awards show in decades. What are you even talking about?

I think you're confusing getting headlines with being praised. Kelly is praised for every single one of her performances. She just doesn't get the headlines because she doesn't do gimmicks. Not sure what else you want..
