If a member has a distinctive enough voice within their posts or distinctive enough opinions, it's not too hard to casually guess another member is their duplicate if the duplicate appears to be eerily too similar (or different in a clearly contrived way).
Lots of people have little trademarks. For example, you always include your emoticons two lines down from your post text. Stuff like that stands out.
