I found a DIL vinyl on amazon, but I don't have $300 | I think we've moved on from vinyls because we found a more convenient way to have music, not because the quality is bad. Vinyl is actually a really rich sound when done right. It just seems to me that they sent whatever company the mp3s and then they pressed the vinyl. But they should have adjusted for the differences.  |

Thanks guys! That must mean Bey has sold around 70 million albums.
I'm possibly going to make an announcement on ATRL later. I'm DONE with these stans using features on songs.

It's okay to count Rihanna's features as some of HER songs (the same with Xtina and Britney's features) but it's not okay to include Bey's DC sales to her own? Get the f**k outta here with that.  |

Last question: does anyone know how many total records Bey has sold individually AND with DC?   |

And the haters need to decide when they're going to use DC to talk about Beyonce. Its always "You can't use Destiny's Child's sales!" followed by "The reason Beyonce did so well is because of Destiny's Child".  |

Get the f**k outta here with that. | So can we say Kelly has sold 30m+ albums? Can we say Melody Thornton sold 15m albums? Can we say Lance Bass sold 50m+ albums? etc.
aul McCartney isn't the biggest selling artist of all time because we don't add Beatles sales to his solo career sales.

The actual list of best selling artists is like this:

1. The Beatles
2. Elvis Presley
3. Michael Jackson.

But if we did, then the top 5 best selling acts of all times would look like this:

1. Paul McCartney
2. John Lennon
3. Ringo Starr
4. George Harrison
5. The Beatles

everyone knows that it was Paul and John who were the head of the band. No on includes Jackson 5 with Micheal, or No Doubt with Gwen. When you tribute Beyonce or talk about her overall legacy in pop culture, then yes. But, if you are just talking about sales in general, then no.  |

 | You raise good points. If we're comparing solo careers thats one thing, but if we're talking about the sales an artist has gotten in general, DC is certainly part of her sales. She was the lead singer after all! You wouldn't credit Melody from PCD because not a lot of people were buying their music for her "Whoaaa-oo-oh-oo-oh-ooh"s at the end of the songs.

I think in general you should say Beyonce's solo sales but with a bracket of how much she's sold with DC to put her career into context. And that second list may not be the best depiction of sales, but it is not false or untruthful. Those people have sold more records than anyone else.  |

 | Beyonce and Destiny's Child are two separate artist. It doesn't matter if Beyonce was the star of the group, it was still a group, not a solo act. I never hear people counting No Doubt's sales when talking about Gwen Stefani as a solo act or include BEPs sales when talking about Fergie as a solo act. Paul McCartney isn't the best selling artist of all time for a reason. Destiny's Child and Beyonce are two different things. They have their sales, records, and certifications, and she has hers.  |

It all depends on if we are comparing Beyonce the person vs. Beyonce the artist.

Paul McCartney is the best selling person. It's a fact. Over his lifetime he has gotten the most sales. He likely has awards and certifications from the Beatles in his house because it's part of his life. He may say "we" when talking about the Beatles not, "I", but "we" encompasses him as a person. He was a part of that. [Luckily though no one makes lists of persons with the most sales because that would be silly]

And anyway, I love that Beyonce has two separate music careers that both slay. I think that makes her a more interesting artist.  |

 | Yes If we are talking about Bey the artist then she has 4 albums -25 million sold.

But when you tribute Bey (the person) or talk about her overall legacy in pop culture then you you bring up DC because they are part of her as a person. Same with Kelly, Michelle etc.  |
