I think someone needs a refresher on statistics.
A 4% increase for a song selling well (in the top ten on iTunes) is going to be a lot more downloads than for a song not selling well (in the bottom fifty on iTunes).
In simple terms (using mocked up numbers)
4% of 100,000 = 4000
4% of 20,000 = 800
and haters gonna hate
