She only really needs to pass Icona Pop. FOB's too far behind, and the FF soundtrack is gonna free-fall inevitably. Top 10 exposure will take care of the rest.
It's nice to see Avril and Mariah doing well. Everyone wanted Avril's song to flop so badly They laughed at every red update, but she's still in the top 30.
WOW @ Blurred Lines being #1 with less than 40 million AI. I wonder how the sales will be once airplay really starts going.
Go Little Mix I like them.
@ Treasure making it's climb to the Top 10
The CMT Awards effect will be funny So many songs are going to be kicked out the Top 10
Jessie J still in the Top 40! Time to promote on some shows
Im glad Mirrors is doing poorly in digital sakes because Duca deserves it
He would always go in on songs that suffered the same date and laugh and call payola...but now it's happening to his fave and he wants to sing a different tune
I think he's more referring to the sales:airplay ratio.
yep
Don't get me wrong...I hate when ppl come at a song that does well on radio but not so much in sales
But Duca was always the one to do it...so now he really can't come at any other artist because even the biggest superstar in the world fell to the same fate...**** happens
Hmm.. at the end of the day (whether you don't like JT or showing how much Duca has bothered you) "Mirrors" has done exceptionally. I mean the only song you could compare it to is Pink/Nate's, seeing as they both have pretty much performed based on radio backing. But obviously there was more attention buying the album than the single-purchase at the time "Mirrors" really began to take off.
It would have done better pre-album release if he had wanted it to. Releasing it to radio sooner and performing it alongside "S&T" at the Grammys instead of "Pusher" would've resulted in bigger digital sales.. but they were clearly going towards pushing album exposure. Plus "S&T" was starting to take off more, so. "Mirrors" beginning to take off after he was already moving ~1.2-3 million albums didn't help it to obtain bigger week-by-week sales but it has been stable nevertheless. It's not like people dislike the song, it wouldn't have rushed to the top of Top 40 in 56 days.
Reception's good, radio continues to spin it hardcore, people buy the album. I can understand this concept is not completely understandable, seeing as it doesn't happen for any artists anymore nor do they try.
But that's just my two cents after seeing this every week now and not really being apart of the conversation.
"Young and Beautiful" still holding on beautiful, probably about Top 25-30 combined. The exposure has helped her as well, debut album back in the Top 50 of Billboard. I just wish she weren't touring overseas at the moment and could perform it somewhere in the US to continue to spread her name. It will be beautiful when BTD/Paradise sell 1 million copies collectively in the States sometime in 2013.
"Summertime Sadness"
#275 United States
Not surprised this has been charting higher and higher with the exposure. Best song on BTD and should've been released. This and "National Anthem" could've done a little something in the States.
