No it hasn't, this thread and what blacks still have to deal with is proof of that.

I mean... White people might not judge each other, but they judge everyone else. I think that's worse because it's the reason why black people and other ethnicities and races have such a hard time with their own identities. They've indoctrinated this world.

Any black artist who makes music that doesn't fall into the "urban radio" blanket of rap and R&B is accused of trying to be "white" or "selling out."

Everyone suddenly being racially sensitive.
Miguel isn't completely in the wrong. There are layers of truth to his comment.

A good example is Whitney Houston getting boo'd @ the Soul Train Awards back in the day because she was recording pop music and wasnt catering to her black audience

I see that, but not every black says those things so this generalization is still too much.
I have been insulted by a few whites cause i like more than just R&B and can name more than one rock band.
You don't see me going off the handle and lumping whites together.

Right. We're so conditioned to accept damn near everything negative spewed about Black people as the gospel truth, we just jump in agreement without a thought. I'm not sipping that Kool-Aid; not now, not ever.
There are other racial/ethnic/cultural groups that have criticized and continue to criticize their own -- what if Gaga went on Twitter saying White people are the most judgmental in the world? She's surely been criticized for her clothing and looks. What if one of the Jersey Shore or Sopranos cast said something like that about Italians after they were protested by their own? Or JLo about Latinos after Mexicans were up in arms about her being Puerto Rican playing Selena? I can't imagine those groups responding to such remarks about themselves the way that we do.
After hundreds of years of being the most harshly judged and stereotyped groups, we do it to ourselves without even thinking. Miguel has convinced himself that he is oh so different because he wears his hair in a pompadour instead of a low fade and wears tight pants, he's not even looking at the fact that it's nothing Black people haven't seen, accepted and welcomed with open arms before -- Little Richard, James Brown, Frankie Lymon, Luther Vandross, Freddie Jackson, Cameo, George Clinton, Earth Wind & Fire, Prince, Grace Jones, Rick James etc. all of these people that were and are loved dearly by the Black community no matter how eccentric or androgynous their style was. After the mainstream turned on Michael and Janet, we continued to support. Even people like R. Kelly and Chris Brown, we forgave and supported, yet, we're the most judgmental? GTFOH. Seriously.
I really like Miguel's music, but, I'm side eyeing the hell out of this.

That's not all Black people. And therein lies the problem because when it comes to us the views of some are taken as the views of all. If that was the case, Whitney, Michael, Janet, Beyonce, Rihanna, Nicki etc. would never get any love from Black people and that is clearly not the case.

Well no generalization is ever going to be 100% true, that's the entire point of a generalization.

What did the sweater look like?
He's right, but there are people from all races who are. Maybe the black people who are judgemental voice their opinion more than those who aren't ?
