SLTS was their breakout hit there is no getting around that BUT they had legions of fans before that and more people WW know of them more than some of you think. And yes there are people who can name all members and albums.
BOMT was iconic for Britney but it did not have the same impact in fact she released songs later on that surpassed it like Toxic.
Nirvana is not known to only hipsters or music snobs. If you went out a little more and opened your ears to music other than pop songs on your ipod and did some research you would see that Nirvana isn't local at all.
Just cause Britney came out with a song memorable in the 90s doesn't mean it was on the same level or better. Both have made great songs and i suggest some of you at least try to listen to Nirvana or look them up before making dumb statements.
