Yeah in the end commercial success is irrelevant to me too, even though I would love to see her slay.
I guess I'm a bit cynical since No Doubt worked on P&S for 3-4 years and although I really like it (might even say love), it feels really overcooked. They kept saying how they rewrote each part of each song 10000x and had multiple versions, but I bet their first tries were better
So when I think of how Gaga said she played new material for Interscope LAST summer, decided on the lead single a long time ago, etc. I get a little nervous.
Once she starts doing interviews again, I hope we get some long ones (Anderson Cooper, 60 Minutes, Inside the Outside) where she explains what was going on all this time.
