Really? I don't know, I'd find it hard getting used to that, I reckon.Pokemon have never taken away a Pokemon's type before, I don't think. It would definitely be interesting, that's for sure.

I can see the new professor researching Pokémon types and then he finds out that they need a new classification, mainly on Normal type Pokémon, thus the birth of Fairy type
I bet Gamefreak will come up with something entertaining that links to the new region and/or the professor.

Anyway, they should definitely re-type the Whismur line if we ever get Sound type. They are like the epitome of a Sound type  |

I was thinking about it in the last few minutes, and the reason there are so many Normal type Pokemon is that there are so many foreign DNA molecules they've discovered and not really known what they are, and so lumped all the foreign ones together, just as Normal type. But then they found enough Fairy type Pokemon to know that these DNA typings are their own separate type, and so that's how Fairy will detach itself from the Normal umbrella.

...or something like that.    |

...or something like that. | i thought about something similar
normal pokemon are the pokemon who don't fit to any other type but people don't know which type they could be so they are jus the normal type
and now that the fairy type was discovered many pokemon who are a member of ther fairy egg group are now classified as fairy type  |

 | Yes! That makes sense. See, that would be a good way to introduce a new type.
I don't really care either way now that a new type is basically confirmed, but I do hope they come up with a good explanation, haha.

So do y'all think Zubat would be Poison/Flying, or Sound/Flying?
Just assuming that Sound type is real.  |

...or something like that. | This makes so much sense and it fits within the whole DNA theme.

Not us making up a whole theory (I secretly hope it's true though)    |

...or something like that. | if the fairy type's immunity to Dragon is even remotely true, can you imagine how it'll change Blissey's role in the OU meta? No Dragon-type moves (Physical or otherwise) could touch her especially on the switch-in.    |

Well I been thinking. Hoenn will obviously be in 3d if they do remakes and I don't think it'll be as cool or nostalgic that way
So I may just play my emerald version sometime soon lol.  |

If they introduce Fairy then they might as well bring in Sound type too. Sound makes way more sense to me anyway   |

So I may just play my emerald version sometime soon lol. | I think nothing can be as nostalgic as playing the original versions anyway, but I'm still looking forward to the 3D remakes. It's just Hoenn and their Pokémon I really loved, so it doesn't matter to me if it's in 3D, 2D and if it's a sequel or a plain remake.

By the way, I was just looking at the post count of this thread and what happened to GotMyBluePrint? I mean:

Or maybe they now give Pokémon up to 3 types,
like Charizard gets the Fire/Dragon/Flying typing.    |
