Nah. Award show performances don't really matter anymore, they hardly do anything for songs anymore. Mainly because they are basic these days, acts don't put in any effort to entice the crowd - just doing it for the hell of it. That's at least in America. The only person who has truly benefited from one in recent times is ADELE. But if she did something like The Brits in UK, it'd be big exposure in that country. Otherwise the VMAs, Billboard, AMAs, etc. they don't do anything for anyone outside the first night bumps. Their ratings are also **** too. It's all about if people like the music in general now.

And for who said she won't do 300k with a "basic song" (are you implying "Gimme More," "Womanizer" and "HIAM" are basic ), that's a lie. She will easily do that in quarter four, no matter what.

And Britney won't ever fully make herself accessible to both genders because her name is Britney Spears. It's too late in her career for people to change their opinions on who she is or their perception of her music. The songs will always have the strong hint of "girly". Besides, males are not predominant buyers. Top 40 radio is geared at women 18-34 and since Top 40 drives majority of digital sales, it works for her. "Womanizer" selling 3.380 million is not because it also appealed to men. The music just needs to be lasting to the listener's mind (like "Till The World Ends," "Circus," etc.). The hip-pop/rhythmic (like "Circus"/"Womanizer") sound will help in that aspect for the next album, because campy songs like "I Wanna Go" and "Ooh La La" don't last long.

Actually she has done an award show performances for each of her last 3 albums.

"Gimme More" was performed at the MTV video music awards 2007 , back then was a tragedy, now turned out as an iconic performance

"Womanizer" was performed at the BAMBI AWARDS in Germany , (one of the top entertainment award shows there)

"S&M" was the oppening performance of the 2011 Billboard music awards, despite some fans trying hard with it , the performance received positive reviews from critics, and Billboard often list it as one of the top performances of te Billboard awards history ... it also gave Rihanna her only recognizable performance.

"Blackout" is an amazing gem album sweetie, its one of her 2 strongest albums of her entire career, and the main reason why some perceive "Circus" and "FF" basic, because "Blackout" was so brilliant that it's been extremely hard to top that album.

the only colab performance was the "S&M" one at the Billboard awards, and the performance was actually special and remembered because of her , because even if Rih was singing live everyone were falling asleep until Britney showed up on stage.

The Womanizer performance at the BAMBIS was nice, and she looked STUNNING, GORGEOUS, like her best look since 2001 or something like that , loved it.

and the S&M performance was good to me, she gave Rih her only remembered performance

Britney recorded Britney in the summer of 2001 (watch the Diary of Britney Spears) and at the same time filmed Crossroads and the album was out by November and the single out by August. Britney recorded Circus in time for a late November release and that was even after in Jan. 2008 she ****ing 5150'd. Like, ****, if she can record an album after being instituted and have it out by the end of the year, I see no reason for that not to be the case this time around.

Don't set your hopes up for a lot of promotional performances. I'm here for something more for the fans, kind of like an AOL Sessions (those are really nice and stripped down, I'd like to see Britney do that) and some cute interviews in the UK and the US and hopefully France or Germany, but it's unlikely she do it in those 2 countries. Her interview with Mario was cute as hell, I'm sure people would love to see that again.

I think there will be a slight change in the breakdown , and probably the instrumentation of the overall song will be slightly different, higher drums or something like that.
