I'm well aware, we all saw what happened with Criminal.

However what's the point of releasing the song to radio? I feel like if it is released and performs poorly (which is most likely will) then it will mess up some of the hype for Album 8's lead single. Just my opinion.

Hmm how will it mess up the hype though? It will help it peak higher on Hot 100 if anything, give it a bit more exposure. I don't think it can really do much harm.

Skyfall flopped on radio but was a hit worldwide. Most soundtrack singles tend to flop.

And S&S is of a different type of dance music to Ooh La La.

Ooh La La is more generic and cheesy and less appealing to the GP.

If the the single will be released in july and the 8th album will be released in October or so, then it should be just a promotional song for the movie. if not, maybe it can be included in a collection album (see: 3 )

The only place this song will smash is in South Korea where Britney's massive and a lot of the songs there sound like it, and maybe France if the good sis Jeeriz decides to provide some payola.

Those chart predictions are a mess. It's a cute song and it fits the movie perfectly but I don't think that it's a summer smash or anything. They should put it on Monday on iTunes to get a full week of sales, put it on Spotify, do an official lyric video, and include it a new trailer for the movie. It will probably get some heavy initial plays on radio because it's a Britney track and radio can pick it up without an adds date if it's meant to smash. And if it doesn't, who cares. For some reason, I can't imagine an official music video for this, everything I can think of looks like a parody in my head.

Definitely not TTWE, might do close to HIAM numbers outside of US. I don't know what to expect. From one side, the song will have a big WW exposure if it's going to be played in a TV commercial for the movie and the radio will pick it up, but at the same time soundtrack singles haven't been doing really well at all lately besides Skyfall, so I don't know.
