They sound alike, but he's hot right now. He has produced most of the hits from 2012-2013. She could be on a feature produced by him, it doesn't matter.
Always the biggest kii when people here act like they're rap aficionados and try to degrade Nicki's talent and success just because of songs like Starships. Obviously shows how dense people are, she doesn't have to stick to a label but the fact that people still believe that to this day irks me.
She's extremely successful whether people like to believe so or not. She's on American Idol for crying out loud, she has endorsements for crying out loud, she's the most relevant female rapper out at the moment for crying out loud.
You know what I realized, Nicki has a long way to go to be seen as a positive figure in the media, and music.
Think about it, she had 5 back to back "controversies":
1. Stupid Hoe (Video)
2. Roman Holiday (Performance)
3. Starships
4. The GREAT debate between pop & rap (attributing to her album being split in half rap/pop)
5. Summer Jam (The final nail in the PFRR coffin)
Granted she had her highs as well:
Pepsi, Adidas, and The Superbowl
However, obviously only negatives are highlighted in hindsight.
