Stay's been unlucky on the Hot 100 IMO. It always had the sales, the airplay, the streaming & the longevity but it was always getting blocked by some other songs. Ironically it is easily a bigger hit than Diamonds was. Stay has outlasted some of the songs that were a bigger hit than it at certain points in the chart run - like When I Was Your Man.

Yes. In the US, Stay is easily bigger song than Diamonds... but WW, no.
I need to see Stay at #1 it deserves this throne at least one week.
I honestly don't know where the instant hype for her music came from. Probably Triumphant and Almost Home did their jobs as "buzz" singles?
