I guess not. Had airplay been on the song's side, I think it would have done much better.

People in the Nicole base think she's redoing the album for a different sound instead of taking the will.i.am route that it was originally supposed to use so Boomerang probably will thrown in the "buzz single" bin.

Not sure whether she left The X Factor or not, but hopefully she could perform on the show.

She had finished an album with will.i.am and Antony Preston (and their peers) in fall 2012, she put it on hold for XFactor, released Boomerang begin 2013, but started recording again aswell, it's what Nicole always does. Nicole also basically did a whole record with RedOne, but then released Poison and jumped in the studio again.
