I think he's referring to the album coming out in August, they were talking about it, and then they complained that it had been 2 years already and then after they complained he was like "well the singles usually comes out 2 months before the album" as if to say "it's not that long you'll get new music before August because of the lead single," which would mean a June release with a May announcement. Let me not get hyped

June: Single released, video released.
July: Album cover and release date revealed. Promo singles released.
August: Second single announced, ARTPOP release

B) He seems to have mixed up album and single, so he might mean album in August and single before.

IMO, a late June single release + an early August album release would be ideal.

Hope he meant the album .. I'll be fine with June/July release and the album after the VMA performance... VMA will be perfect place to promote not only the lead single, but her album and the comeback era as a whole.. I am sure the single will come some time before the VMAs (maybe weeks or even month+) and the album September after the VMA performance :]

We have several sources that say the first single comes out 'August' and 'August-September'. And although a few people dispute Troy's interview with Billboard, it does mention a 'Q4 album release'. We have nothing suggesting sooner than that.

Lead single release July / August, VMA performance, promo tour, and an album release in October / November. Y/N?
