Hmm I think in general I like all the BTW videos... the only one I don't necessarily care for is Y&I, because I feel like it's just a bunch of random imagery thrown together to give us a more "Gaga" video after everyone had meltdowns over TEOG.

Yep! It feels like she's on a movie set, which I think was an issue for a lot of people (that it was an obvious backlot or whatever), but I always thought that was the whole point

By the time ARTPOP is released the music will no longer sound fresh and cool and the world wouldn't care.

I think the only thing that really bothers me with BTW's videos is that they're all over the place (true for TFM videos too tbh) visually and conceptually.
At the beginning of the era it seemed like Gaga had a clear vision with the aliens and rebirth stuff, tying together the Grammys vessel, music video etc. Then we got a biblical biker video. Then TEOG which actually fits in with the album cover and musical influences the best (though we could've gotten a random mermaid video). Then a barn video. Then a sort of autobiographical NYC video. I guess it's not really surprising since the singles weren't well organized either, with Judas being a bad choice and then rushing out TEOG after.
In general it's weird to me that her most important era, with all the massive and well-organized promo beforehand, was not planned out at ALL (though a lot of it wasn't necessarily her fault). Musically I thought it was fantastic and put together very nicely, but the rest felt pretty haphazard.
That's why I feel like she's really taking her time with ARTPOP. Coming up with a clear, cohesive vision for the videos, fashion, artwork, etc. (at least I hope that's the reason why haha). I'd love to see her pull off something closer to a concept album--not as strict as a concept album, but with unified ideas and visuals that really give it some oomph.

Tbh, I think this is her most important era (ARTPOP), because frankly it's a little bit 'Make or Break' for her right now.
I'm sure if ARTPOP disappoints again, she'll still go on to have a great career and sell well. But it's make or break in terms of her global superstardom. If ARTPOP is very successful, watch out Madonna/MJ. If it isn't......hello, Cher.
I know what you mean in terms of BTW being SO BIG and 'important', but I just think there's so much more riding on this era. BTW disappointed, but yet here we still are, and Gaga is still the main force in the industry. But one more 'flop' (expectation wise), and I don't think we'll be in the same position come Album #5.

Yeah unfortunately this is one of the disadvantages that may backfire Gaga for dealying ARTPOP

Yeah, you're probably right. In many ways the "disappointment" of BTW made a lot of people think she was already at the end of her rope creatively and that she only has her "gimmicks." After such a meteoric rise to fame, people wanted to see if it was all just a fluke or not... but you're right, following BTW, ARTPOP definitely feels "make or break."

Definitely, here's hoping that Gaga comes up with fresh cool ideas to make her extremely popular again. But yeah, here's to hoping

I guess we have to trust that Gaga's team know what they're doing.
They know more than anyone how important this album is and what it needs to do. They have money riding on it, so their investment at stake is more than simply our stan cards and bragging rights.
