pika I've been trying to make the following points between Jason and Carrie:
1. within a year time span Carrie sold = X
within a 8-month period Jason sold = X -200K
I am saying we should compare the sales at the year mark, not this rn comparison so its on the same playing field
2. Carrie Peaked in album sales with Some Hearts. She has sold consistently and continues to lose sales with each coming LP, whereas Jason continues to actually grow in album sales, starting off low, but he is in his prime now, Carrie not so much
3. I also have stated Jason Aldean will not be a legend, but Carrie won't either. People only will remember from the late 2000's to now Taylor Swift, even when we all know Taylor is much more pop. Carrie sure is the next in line if Taylor didn't exist, but Taylor Swift exists, and just like Shania outshining other country stars in the 90's (Faith Hill comes to mind) even when she was more pop, people will know Shania is a legend.
So I don't need you to tell me Carrie continues to win, when she's consistent on the brink of falling. Jason needs one flop album before he stop growing, which he hasn't hit.
and if i check right on HDD today, jason sold 10K while Carrie sold 8K
PS. I think I am making a fair argument, and your over inflating Carrie's power is getting to be too much of a reach, I'm at least sticking to true facts in terms of looking at the Regression of each act. If I need to pursue this further, lemme pull out my Stata and start calculating some correlations for you to have a seat. I took mine in giving Carrie her due credit, but pretending Aldean hasn't made any impact is just all out false
