Synopsis:
The final track to miss our top 30 is Adele's cover of The Cure's "Lovesong". Adele takes the spooky and faster paced original and completely Adeleifies it by slowing it down, adding a plucking guitar, and increasing the length by two minutes. This puts more emphasis on Adele's vocals about how she'll continue to love her man, through thick and thin. Unfortunately, this wasn't enough for voters to put it into the top 30, maybe they prefer the original?
Voter Response:
Adele's cover of "Lovesong" became another polarizing song amongst voters. Some liked the new version while others turned their noses up at with by giving it 11 scores of a five or below. This marks Adele's sixth song in the bottom seven.
Synopsis:
The piano ballad with a soulful chorus, "Take It All", now quickly becomes Adele's seventh track eliminated, leaving her with only half of her album remaining. Adele contemplates leaving her man just so he can see how great the love they share is, and what he'll be missing out on if he's not with her. It is definitely one of the more emotional moments on an album that is emotional to begin with, but it still wasn't enough to make it higher in the countdown.
Voter Response:
Adele's album tracks seem to be collapsing one by one, the sole two remaining are "He Won't Go" and "I'll Be Waiting". "Take It All", again, had inconsistent scores. The higher scores seemed to cancel out with the lower scores, leaving it with a mediocre average.
