Doesn't it have to reach a certain position before it's even eligible to go recurrent?
Edit: I just looked it up. It appears that the song has to be below #10 in both spins and AI (both of which apply to DR), but it also has to have had negative updates for two consecutive weeks (which does not apply to DR). As long as DR sees positive updates, it's not going to go recurrent.
