Fearless was a musician's dream, she smashed as hard as possible, sold millions of singles and albums, grossed millions and was the dream of every music label.

Coming off such a huge era, he expected that if he let Taylor do everything again, the same would happen.
The Speak Now singles under-performed, Fearless' singles didn't.

He didn't have a fortune teller back then to tell him the singles were going to flop.

The Speak Now era ended and he clearly saw that if Taylor continued to do the same thing the singles will underperform one after another, so he fully embraced his pop music business side.
Who else to go to but the king of smash hits? And it's not gonna stop seeing how those singles performed.

Sometimes you don't need to be in people's lives to know how they think.

Except Max Martin is Her songwriting hero. You can hear it in Her music. You can see it in all the covers She's done of songs he's written. And why wouldn't he be? His ear for melody is second to none. And the 3 songs She did with him have been amongst the most critically acclaimed. None of that means She's become a pop tart who's going to start doing songs that sound like everything else on the radio.
And don't equate the legend that is Max Martin with that flop Luke character.

My thought is: if he wanted to repeat the Fearless era or doing better than it, he could have suggested her to do some songs for Speak Now! It was so clear that SN singles would underperform because they don't have the same appeal of Fearless ones, do you agree with that? Fearless is more magic, more radio-friendly than Speak Now..

And even if they don't have the same appeal of Fearless, a lot of the Speak Now tracks are magical and could work on the radio if they put in some effort.

Yes, it has some magical songs like Enchanted, but it would have worked as a single? No, the radio edit would have killed its essence!

Other than Enchanted, Better than Revenge & Sparks Fly could've smashed on Pop radio.

Every song on Speak Now is magical and has a little something in it.

Dr. Luke is the safest, most generic producere there is. People who work with him tend to be seen as laughingstocks of the industry these days. He will 100% work with Taylor if this kind of deal was made because The Lord is the obvious choice from the BM roster to get the max. amount of $$$ out of it. I just hope its a few songs for the rerelease and nothing more. Because i am not sure i can handle LP5 done around Luke songs.

Luke signed in 2011 with Sony an exclusive deal, that's why he produced for Ke$ha, Miley, etc. But he still released Part Of Me/ Wide Awake with Katy in 2012, with Katy being in EMI. But the songs were probably recorded before the deal.
Wouldn't Luke be breaking his contract if he worked with Universal?
