Well, there are artists' who have prices just as expensive as Britney's who can sell out. It's not that I doubt her selling power, it's just that I personally think fans overexaggerate Britney's touring force. I feel like they cling on to the Circus Tour for dear life, when many artists' have been able to outgross it.
Unless I see her next tour sell out or Vegas sell out, I'll stick with my original opinion.
Yeah, yeah, Britney is no U2 or Madonna, or any of the old school people - and their FAR cheaper ticket prices - when it comes to touring. But she's Top when it comes to the "new" kids, and we couldn't ask for anything better.
The actual problem with the FF Tour gross was the fact that the demand wasn't half as high as the one for the TCSBS tour - In other words, it was too soon for her to tour again, especially when her previous tour had been so huge.
What the F*ck is this? making us look bad with those wrong statements.
She did fine in Latin America, the Chile date had one of her biggest crowds of her career, she did fine in Mexico and basically every date with the exception of Brazil and Argentina.
The official UK boxscores revealed that her UK shows were 94% sold, and it even grossed more per show there than the Circus shows.
The main problem was actuallly US.
And I don't think the tour wasn't sold out because there was a lack of Britney power .... I think her tickets were f*cking expensive specially in Latin America , I think she and her team overestimated the price of her shows (since its not a secret she lyp-syncs and doesn't dance as much) so many people wouldn't pay that much per ticket for Britney.
If they've used more realistic prices her tour would've been easily sold out. In some European dates her tickets were even more expensive than the circus tour. and she definately exaggerated with her prices in Latin america.
say what you want but I love FFT. Brit looked more confident and not awkward at all unlike in circus. IMO
I don't mean to be rude, but there's no opinion possible about this. It's fact Britney was better on The Circus Tour.
I really want you to find me just one performance from FFT where she is as hot, energetic, thrilling and actually moving flow free/having fun on stage. And PLEASE save the videos of her making silly faces or the faux pas audience interaction during "How I Roll".
FFT is the wackest thing she'll ever do. People made fun of the props on TCSBS, but at least they were stage pieces. On FFT, she was apart of the props leaning or sitting on them. Sitting in the damn electric chair on the epic HIAM breakdown. Hanging on the pole in UND. Most horrible choreography ever created for "3". Standing in that airlift for the iconic "POM". Sitting on speakers for "BFB," rolling on the car in "How I Roll," fail lapdance on "L&L," standing on those air vent things and flapping her arms on "Amy," "sitting in that damn boat THEN walking up/down all the flight of stairs during "Gimme More," don't want to remember LOOK AT ME IN THESE PICTURE FRAMES Y'ALL on "DDB," "Boys" -- best part is the snake by the, oh wait, dancers. "DLMBTLTK," typical Britney sit on the big swing/umbrella/whatever and sing the song so low might as well just kept the track by itself.
The entire supposed-to-be energetic piece of BOMT/S&M, she is sitting or rolling her jumbled "abs" on those damn, cheap ugly motorbikes. "Slave" is of course the best thing about the show, but she is stiff and dancing 5-seconds ahead of the background girls. "Trouble 4 Me" is hot for like 40-seconds during the pre-chorus/chorus/beginning of 2nd verse. Embarrassing breakdance during "Womanizer," though the back lean/center piece rising remains iconic. don't want to discuss "I Wanna Go"'s "performance".
"Toxic" weak especially in comparison to how AMAZING it is on Onyx, Circus and hell even M + M Tours. And Britney knows how I feel about "TTWE" performance from particular dates. My criticizing and @'ing her on Twitter about it got me a follow the next day.
And the scripted "audience interaction" was embarrassing to make up for the criticism that she lacked it on The Circus. Trust, I'm much more satisfied with "MERRY CHRISTMAS" and random yelps. It was her, at least. Not what Larry & Jason wrote up.
So in all, while I LOVED being at the show and singing along with all the gorls, when you watch that DVD, when you look back on everything.. the show sucks.
