That's still attributed to her letting
Circus die, though. Not because of "X Factor killing her career even though it made one of her best-performing songs in years".

That promotion for it got it over 70k in its first week and with better longevity during the Xmas climate, sold a lot of its copies in that time frame.

It would have sold a lot more if she had even gone back and did a "Circus" or "Amy" performance. But they didn't see her again until 6 months after the fact, and we all know the active life of a Britney album is cut after the 2nd single gets a radio date in the US.
