"Trouble." still has 10,000 spins on pop radio. "22" is this high just from the video and 5,000 spins/~26 million on pop radio. Hasn't even been charting a month. It will explode in a couple weeks.
Why the hell people don't get and understand how huge "I Knew You Were Trouble." was and still is. The reason that it wasn't #1 is Streaming but with the new rules it could have go to the top of America. The song is one of the biggest pop radio hits ever, people love it, still receives a lot of appreciation
People comparing 22 to C'Mon's chart performance are jumping to conclusions way too early and making a non-valid comparison. Ke$ha is in the middle of a disappointing era and general downturn in chart performance, & C'Mon reflects that. Also, C'Mon is just her weakest song & it was obvious to most people it would underperform, even after Die Young smashed.
Taylor is in the middle of a smash era & her best era with pop success ever. IKYWT is currently the focus on pop radio & it will be a good month before 22 really starts gaining massively. In the meantime, 22 is already Top 20 on iTunes & Top 30 on the Hot 100. The closer we get to summer, the higher it will climb. How is it disappointing in any way? Did people expect it to go Top 3 in a week?
