That's what I got from that too. I envision a scenario where him and Beth are hiding somewhere and they're about to be found, when he tells Beth to go on and he stays back and dies.
I also predict the death of Milton, The Governor, Ben, and a bunch of unknowns from The Governor's clan,
I don't think they'd kill off Darryl, seeing as he is the most popular. I don't see the baby either (hopefully, that'd be so sad) Maybe Carol?
