Didn't Nevermind help change up the industry from glam rock to a more grunge sound. Or am I wrong??

Yes it did.
It was the reason Grunge blowed up that was the biggest music movement we had in the last 20 years.Everything changed,Lyrics music and most importantly image.
It went from bands like Guns N' Roses(who is my favourite band so no hate) to people like Kurt Cobain reflecting complete opposite artist.
I can't think of a change like this in the past 20 years besides that
