This girl in my school just got engaged and she's 18 yrs old! It's so weird but then again her boyfriend is Mormon so it shouldn't be shocking but it is to me. She hasn't even started life yet and she's getting married. I will not marry young. Mid twenties are what I'm shooting for.

I'm not even sure if I ever want to get married. I'm just afraid of potentially breaking up and having to go through a divorce, that seems so messy and prolonged. I can see myself living with a partner and never getting married, that seems like it'd be nice. Not as much pressure as trying to make a marriage work. Maybe I'm just cynical, I don't know why. I don't like the thought of being held down. If the first thing I think of when I hear the word 'marriage' is 'divorce' that probably isn't a good sign. If I do ever get married, it won't be until I'm way older

My friend stared me down before & said "after today, its time to get serious & work" then jokingly stared me down about helping organise the wedding. l got scared the wedding will be great, ill just be at my best friends beckoned call for a year


There are so many people l know who have children, before marriage or a house. its so weird

I am personally afraid of marriage. A lot of people that I know are rushing into marriage without realizing how hard it can be, and if that happens to me I want to make sure I know what I'm doing, not what everybody wants me to do.

When it comes to future marriage plans, I'm such a hopeless romantic compared to how I view other things. I want to get married so bad someday, but never out of convenience. I don't have an age goal of when I'd like to or when I shouldn't; I think it depends on the relationship.

The only part I do have a blueprint in mind for are any future kids. I want to be married, that's regardless if I adopt or conceive. I want to be a good 3 years into the marriage first, and I don't want to start until I'm in my early thirties - late 20's at the very least. And no more than 3. That's my limit and it includes any possible step children.

Hey there! It's nice to see a thread for females! I'm Heather and I believe I'm the oldest one. Well the one admitting her age. I'm 27, I'll be 28 in Oct (Libra). Nope I don't feel old. As far as marriage is concerned, if I do get married ok if I don't that's alright as well. Not really hung up on the idea.

A generation after mine, the most popular girls after us got all pregnant, yup like the article that showed ages ago and all of them still got out and get drunk At least my three friends that have kids have settle down and they barely go out or get drunk

I was engaged once, but we broke it off and separated, only to reconnect again last year. He's not just my best friend that I've known almost my entire life, but he's my boyfriend as well. I have no doubt in my mind we'll be together for the rest of our lives, but shoot, he better make it soon. I don't know how long I will be able to maintain my figure long enough to fit into my dream dress. He has a couple of months left of school till he graduates. I'm hopeful that he pops the question again afterward.
