No, seriously though, it's not that uncommon for pop artists to not write their own material. There's quite a few who do write exclusively, but it's mostly co-written material. And I can see a minor point he makes about the Beatles. It's just an inaccurate comparison because of the two different eras. Beatles have had their influence on music for obvious reasons. Secondly, writing your own material doesn't mean it's automatically worthy or praise, or even respected artist status (as he's implying), two different things since it takes more than just pure writing to be successful (although I think the Beatles were unique and the first on this because how it impacted pop culture).
1D has only two albums out and more importantly, in this day and age, it's a lot more complicated music scene, especially with album sales being down the drain the last few years.
TLDR: He's just pressed that writing is but one facet of popular music these days.
I took me a bit of tinkering to get clips of each of the boys that didn't push it past the 20 second cap for Diamond's which is what made it take so long.
I enjoy how it says "One Direction feud" when in reality it's all one sided due to his pressed soul (apart from two tweets from Louis + Niall, which doesn't equal a 'feud'). He's the one constantly mentioning them, and it's a little sad that people are more interested on his negative thoughts of One Direction over his actual music.
Haven't listened to a single song of his, and not going to automatically write it off as "terrible" because of his attitude. But, it's rather sad that he's so far up his own ass that he's resorted to publicly "shaming" a popular act just because he's jealous that their "X-Factor ****" has topped the charts worldwide while he's stuck with a Top 20 UK hit (which he honestly should be happy with - a lot of artists out there would love to have a Top 20 hit).
He should be thankful for the fans he has (which happened to be One Direction, by the way) instead of attempting to suck up every last bit of attention he's receiving off one of the most popular acts in the world right now.
We have that in common already..
