I need Kelly's next album to have a dark emotional song or something like Love In These Eyes. Can't hear enough of those, tbh.

Oh, if you're talking about her music, then yes. But I think people perceive her as a tomboy and then incorrectly assume she's butch or something. That's old and tired news though

Don't know where you got lesbian out of "girly".
Part of Kelly's appeal is that she is the girl next door. She's not your typical popstar singing about sex and having back up dancers. She doesn't have to curse and use auto tune to sell. That's the way I see it. I don't mind if she curses here or there though.
|
Haha, wrong choice of word on my part.
And I agree. She doesn't need to go cursing around to gain followers or attention. I mean..look at P!nk..she's completely overdoing it now. I think Kelly (and P!nk too) should be going the more mature route instead of staying in this teen poppy kinda music they sometimes make. That's how they'll be taken more seriously instead of staying in the same spot as underdogs.

I find that to be ridiculous tbh. Especially when she was the It girl in 2005, I didn't really see anyone say her music was girly. And people really need to update their perceptions as it's insulting to stereotype women like Kelly.
I sometimes blame the sound they do on the label/their choice of producers, tbh. And I agree on Kelly especially since You Love Me, Honestly, Dark Side and Mr. Know It All were actually more different from Kelly's typical pop/rock kind of sound. YLM gave me such a 80s teas that it'll always be a classic to me, tbh. Kelly needs to experiment more outside her comfort zone, especially in R&B where she's amazing.

Is it me or has Pink become the new duet wh***? In the sense that she has like 3 duets right now.
And Kelly doesnt even have one. (With someone who doesnt play a banjo relevant)

My December was flawless. Fading, CIHAK, Haunted, Judas, Sober, Maybe and How I Feel were her best work on there.
Funny though, I can always jam out to it no matter time of day.

I think there are already 81 #1 actually. I think N&S posted it a few days ago that Stronger hit another #1.
Nice work anyway

Does anyone else think that AIEW was ahead of its time and is underrated as an album? I've been getting so much life to it recently.

It wasn't until two weeks ago when the whole album clicked with me. The only flaw was Whyyouwannabringmedown since it's almost counterproductive to the album's concept, imo.
And it's a shame about it being underrated. Cry is now my favorite ballad-esque song on there even over Already Gone. That beginning and the bridge are soul-slaying.

It's a fantastic album & Kelly's most critically praised one at that
Could do without some of the filler though, but the first 6 songs on the album slay lifes.
