I try to be supportive of everybody. I mean I know I've been accused of being "too nice." It is not being nice. There is a way to give a critique where you say "I'm not sure this was your best performance. I prefer when you sing in this register..." Constructive criticism and... that's just how I am as a person. I'm not going to put on an act and be like somebody else so that everybody can feel like I'm being honest. I'm always being honest."
I love these two interviews. I like how she pointed out that she has the ear for being able to pinpoint the good in ones ability, and vice versa but without being rude and or trying to be like past AI alum judges.
Her resume speaks for itself and her being the 'closer' of the panel makes the most sense considering her grand scale of talent and ability to recognize other peoples potential.
