So yesterday I bought Pokemon Diamond for my 3DS XL, how will I be able to trade Pokemon? Can anybody help me with this?! tnx!

You can trade Pokémon with people all over the world in the Global Trade Center in Jublife City, after you've got the first badge. You need a Wi-Fi connection, of course.

You can also trade and battle with your friends if they have a 4th Generation Pokémon game and a Nintendo (3)DS, too. It's on the first floor of every Pokémon Center.

I do have a Wi-Fi connection and I can surf online with my 3DS, but it doesn't allow me to trade.. Do I need people with friend codes or something? I don't know anyone with a (3)DS, I'd just like to trade pokemon from D/P/PL/FR/LG etc

I couldn't find the solution online though, would anyone here be willing to trade with me?

You need friend-codes when you want to trade with someone in particular.
Maybe this can help you with trading in the Global Trade Station.

You can only trade Pokémon from D/P/Pt, HG/SS and B(2)/W(2) on the 3DS, so no FR/LG etc.

I'd like to trade with you, but my DS can't connect with my Wi-Fi

I figured out that I can't use the GTS because of the internet security, but I can surf on the 3DS, guess I'll need friends/friend codes to trade?

Are you talking about trading with someone else or just transferring your pokemon over from D/P/PL/FR/LG etc?

Yep, you can trade with the people you got friend codes of in the basement of every Pokémon Center.

He has a 3DS, which doesn't have a GBA slot, so he can't transfer his Pokémon from the GBA games to D/P etc.

That's why I was asking. You can trade if you have a regular DS though.

Well, there are three kinds of trading. With two or more (3)DS's, in the Global Trade Station and with friend-codes.

You need Wi-Fi for the GTS and friend-codes and since you don't know anyone with a (3)DS you must use Wi-Fi for trading.

Did you set up the Wi-Fi in the start screen where you can choose from continue game, new game etc.?

If yes and it still doesn't work:
Since the 4th and 5th Generation games are officially for the DS, they probably don't support the kind of Wi-Fi security the 3DS does. I have the same problem, you need to change it from WAP to WEP or something. I'm no expert in this area, but maybe this this will help you out: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wfc...lSetupHelp.jsp

The red and blue arc (volume 1-3) is amazing. Yellow arc is meh (volume 4-7) I have all of the gsc arc but I haven't read them yet.

I'm still waiting for the scanlated version of Pokémon Adventures Volume 42, the conclusion to the HeartGold/SoulSilver saga and the start of Black/White arc.



Although there is a scanlated version of the Black/White arc, I want it in the Volume form because the magazine scans are scattered and hard to follow.

Oh gosh! That's awesome!!! I can't wait, I'm hoping for typings of the announced pokemon, and maybe the legendary trio or 2nd evolutions of the starters.
