Well considering neither of them have top twenty singles they're already comparable in that factor. But it's not like passing Hilary's peak is some huge feat. since Miley did it in less time in a worse album climate. I agree with your point about Spring Breakers, I don't see it doing well at all.
As of now i think it's safe to say that Demi passed her. Let's see how she does with her next album. No, she won't reach Hilary and she definitely won't reach Miley.
