P!nk accumulated two top 10 singles this era, and she has a history of top 10 hits. Nate is just there, and to be honest, could have been replaced by some other male.

But it's obvious he widens the song's appeal to alternative/hipster fans. Try was a huge radio hit but did not sell all that amazingly. JGMaR is blowing both it out of the water and I believe it will outsell BM (OLK) as well. She is a huge reason it's doing well on pop, but he adds a whole other potential market to it. Combined, with both their recent pop success, and Fun.'s recent digital single sales power, that equals SMASH.
Plus, the song sounds like it could've been on Some Nights.
Carry On just isn't hit-worthy, it doesn't reflect what Fun. is capable of.
