Okay but clearly this has been on his mind and now he wants to make amends.
Keeping grudges will get you absolutely nowhere in life, especially when that grudge is with one of the biggest radio stations in the country.

Hot 97 has history but isn't 105.1 doing more technically. That said, if it isn't she still has mended fences with Flex...and Ebro is Ebro

she doesn't need to mend fences with someone who has already peaked in performance. It's like saying if Rihanna had a falling out with
Katy Perry, Beyonce, Britney and Lil kim...the fences would need to be mended with the relevant ones that matter in life

All you need to do is remove that Grammy's red carpet look and add her Billboard performance with Britney and that is perfection personified.

I wasn't too big on it in the beginning but it really did have potential. The problem is the timing. Should have been released in January to be honest. It has a good winter vibe and in time for Valentine's day video release.

It went Top 20 on Urban, but if you would like to know:
Starships (Pop/Rhythmic)
Beez in the Trap (Urban/Rhythmic)
Right By My Side (Urban/Rhythmic)
Do you see the issue here?
|
Yep the release schedule was a mess. You didn't know if SH was a radio single or if RR was one on top of Beez and Right by my side.
I still wish Starships never existed. I can live with SH existing because the hidden messages in the video are genius and it was necessary to get that out of her system as an artist. That said, this line up would have owned souls:
Pop/Rhy
Feb-June
Pound the alarm the better rap and better crossover song that would have received half the backlash.
July-Sept
Va va voom
October-Jan
Marilyn monroe
Feb-June
Whip it
Urban/Rhy
Promo single SH just thrown out there. No adds just buzz and video
Jan-April
Right by my side. Although Chris' comeback hype died in 2011 the backlash of the song came more from SH/Starships then the actual song itself. Would have fared better as a lead single. Top 10/5, I bet.
April-July
Beez in the trap
August-November
I am your leader
December-March
Champion or Hov lane to close out
No basic Automatic, no extra roman holiday

That song is a mess. Nicki's verses on that song aren't anything special, and Natasha is so unnecessary.

Gurl you tried it. Now don't get carried away.

Do y'all think PF will be looked at as a classic of some sorts in 2020 when it'll be 10 tens since it's release
|
Nope. Her 3rd or 4th one might though if she plays her cards right. The whole classic thing really is a 20 century thing. Since 1999/2000, it is more about making your mark as a snapshot in time. Very few classics in this century.
I think her blueprint or pinkprint

will be "classic" in ten years. Showing them up and comers how to do it although it will probably take even longer for another one to get where she is.

Nicki is in control for better or for worse. Beyonce's dad led the way and she's been guided. Things have not gone as smoothly since his departure but Beyonce's still good with her hustle.
